After a derecho wind caused severe damage to the existing Arcadian Bank in Hartland, MN, Accord was tasked with studying whether or not to restore the former bank or design a completely new one. The choice became clear, given the lack of accessibility in the former bank and the limitations therein.
Accord’s design of this 1,940 SF new free-standing facility is efficient and humble. Materials were chosen to provide durability and beauty, but not “break the bank,” so to speak. A drive through that allows staff to serve people at the window, yet also serve the interior patrons, is part of the efficiency of this small branch bank.
