This project for Regional Health Services in Howard County called for a new respiratory clinic addition to the existing clinic. Healthcare architect Accord designed the expansion of the clinic, using HVAC design strategies to provide isolation for possibly infected patients. The USDA provided grant funding for this important infection-control project. There is also a new entry with drive-under canopy at the NE side of the existing hospital. A conference room was renovated into a new registration area for the clinic.
The clinic addition was built in existing parking, so we constructed a new lot that connects to the new drive-under canopy. We also added a new conference room. We completed the project using the Construction Manager-Agent delivery method.
