Curries is a world leader in the production of hollow metal door and window frames. One of Accord’s first major projects was design of the original 9th Street Curries office in the late 80s. Accord also designed the 12^th Street factory / industrial building for the production of frames. Curries approached Accord to attach a new office building to their 12^th Street plant. This 60,000 SF office complex is designed to allow for eventual growth. It serves as a showcase for products of Curries and their sister company, Graham Doors (another Accord client). Accord’s 12^th Street Office design includes precast concrete sandwich panels and aluminum storefront windows. The recta-linear facade includes a highly detailed entry and two-story lobby space. Much of the 60,000 SF building is open-office environment.

Accord’s work at the Curries 12^th Street continues today with additions and improvements that have expanded the plant to the north. Accord designed a removable precast concrete wall on the north side that has been removed and reused three times in this process.
