Gilbert – Franklin Township Fire Station: Gilbert

The City of Gilbert and Franklin Township formed an alliance to construct a community building with the assistance of a USDA loan. Its three main elements are the fire station, city hall, and community spaces. They selected a pre-engineered metal building. This reduced cost and allowed for expansion on the fire engine garage side, should the need arise. Accord hosted a number of community forum meetings to complete the design.
The garage serves as more than just a place to park fire engines. Training and equipment washing also occur there. The community room has proven popular for celebrations of all kinds. The city hall room is specifically used for city council meetings, but also by other community service organizations. It has been wildly successful for the City of Gilbert and the Franklin Township.
